The Engines

2001: Engine 1

Built by KWR race engines, this engine won the 2001 championship and covered over 1200 miles during the year in testing and races. It was faultlessly reliable. 

2001 Engine 2

 Richard Longman and Co used in Car 2 all year without any major reliability problems.

Spare engine

 Built by Procomp Motorsport, this engine was never used.

2002 Engines

As above only the main engine was a Richard Longman and Co unit.

BHP

 85 BHP at the wheels (100 at fly wheel) @5800 rpm

Gearbox

Car 1: 4 speed Cortina rebuilt by Procomp Motorsport

Car 2: 4 speed Escort GT re-built by Procomp Motorsport.
